Sir Alfred East at Home

This bucolic scene is typical of the work of Sir Alfred East . This watercolour measures 13 x 21 cms., and probably depicts a scene from the countryside around Upper Sywell, Northamptonshire, where he spent many months during his life.

Purchased at auction in Stamford, it is still in its original frame which bears the label of the iconic ‘Speight’ company in Kettering.
