Found Objects Workshop at ARTworks

KDAS Chairman Janette Gaggini is running her workshop for creating ‘Art with Found Objects’ in ARTworks on Wednesday 27th November. This enjoyable workshop is open to all who wish to experience art in a different way.

Only the brave will venture into ARTworks…because the demonic devils from the Museum, Gallery, and Kettering Library will be waiting for you and your little monsters:

– Weave spider webs at our Witch’s Corner

– Create spooky garden decorations

– Take a chance on the lucky dip

– Explore the dress-up box and games

Tunnel Journal Workshop at ARTworks, 11am – 3pm

28th August

Ages 9+ and adults

– Create a tunnel book to display your memories, drawings, and favourite photos.

– Bring your own imagery for a personal touch

Surreal Collage Workshop at ARTworks, 11am – 3pm

14th August

Ages 9+ and adults

– Transform our gallery paintings into weird and wonderful sea scenes

Comic art beginners’ Workshop at ARTworks, 11am – 3pm

7th August

Age 9+

– Create your own comic strip

– Finish our cat and ichthyosaur comics

– Make a simple pop-up comic page

– Learn to draw simple animals

– Learn about comics in the museum and gallery collections

Bones and Fossils Workshop at ARTworks, 11am – 3pm

31st July

Age 5+

– Handle genuine fossils!

– Sensory mini fossil dig and fossil sorting

– Learn about the Kettering Ichthyosaur and other fossils in the museum

– Create a pattern stencil artwork in paint

– Make a mini clay fossil

KettFest Workshop at ARTworks

For this year’s festivities, the Cornerstone team will be in ARTworks in Newlands Shopping Centre. Come and join us for one of our popular drop-in art workshops, have the chance to handle artefacts from our collections, and learn about the boot and shoe industry in our town

We’ll be there between 11am and 4pm on Saturday, ready to answer any questions you may have, so make sure to pop in and see us
